TT-Line Intermodal Conference 2026 in Sweden

Effimodal at the TT-Line Intermodal Conference 2026 in Sweden: why partnerships with ferry lines, rail and terminals make a strong intermodal product.

Intermodal works when partnerships work. EFFIMODAL joined the TT-Line Intermodal Conference 2026 in Sweden, which brought together people who are actively shaping the next generation of European intermodal transport.

Why TT-Line matters to our network

Our partnership with TT-Line is an important part of what we are building. Every day, EFFIMODAL combines rail, ferry and road connections to move freight between Italy, Germany, Scandinavia and the Baltics — and the more the network develops, the clearer one thing becomes: a strong intermodal product is not created by one operator.

It requires reliable ferry capacity, rail connections, terminals and first/last-mile partners — and, most importantly, companies willing to coordinate all of those pieces as one network.

Corridors, not single crossings

We are not interested in simply buying individual ferry crossings. Our goal is to build repeatable corridors, stable capacity and long-term flows that allow more freight to move from road to intermodal. For shippers, that means a service they can plan around, not a one-off solution.

Enormous potential still on the road

A large amount of European freight that could technically move intermodally is still transported entirely by road. Turning that potential into actual volumes will require closer cooperation between cargo owners, intermodal operators, rail companies and ferry lines.

Thank you to TT-Line for the invitation, the discussions and for bringing the industry together.

More cooperation. Better networks. More freight moved intermodally. If you have volumes that could move off the road, talk to us.
